You can read the post below to learn more about the transformation of my client's office space.
My client longed for an office retreat. A place where she could bring board members and potential donors for meetings and a place where she wouldn't mind spending the long hours her position demanded.
Take a quick look at what her space looked like on my initial visit, then I'll walk you through how we converted her space!
During the consultation, we discussed her top three concerns:
1. Declutter the space so that she could give presentations when she needed to.
2. Brighten up the space to express her personality, but keep it modern
3. Bring in a cozy chair so that she could work those long hours comfortably.
After that meeting, I got to work creating a color palette that would fit her style and sourcing items based on our discussion. I created a mood board for her and showed her what I had in mind and it was a home run! You can view that mood board below...
My intention with the accent wall was to have an ombre effect, but it didn't turn out like I wanted it to. So I just gave the wall a two-tone effect with a 1-inch complementing blue stripe in the middle. I actually mixed all of these colors myself with two Sherwin Williams paint color. The bottom color is bold, but not obnoxious. The top color is tranquil and serene. She loved the peaceful color so much, that I ended up painting the other three walls this same color! We had plans to hang items on the accent wall, but we ended up just letting it be the art for the room.
Check out the final product below...what do you think?
Here is the space completed. It's de-cluttered. It's brighter and more modern. And there is a comfy chair in the corner.
My client is in LOVE with this space and often thanks me for how peaceful it is. I am so grateful that I was able to help her create a space that she loves to "live" in. Mission accomplished.
Well, folks, that's all for this one. I'll have a new blog post up sometime next week about another Houston Midtown rental property I styled. So stay tuned!
xoxo,
BEL
